Mission Statement

The Blakiston's Fish Owl Project is an international scientific collaboration focused on the long-term conservation issues facing Blakiston's fish owls in Russia. We believe that conservation must be based on sound science, and that conservation plans must consider human needs to be sustainable. Our current research focus is the conservation and management implications of resource selection by this species in Primorye, the southern-most province in the Russian Far East.
